It is said that Lala was born with a brush in her hand.

Raised in Hamburg she saw the light in 1972,

descending from a Bolivian mother

and a German father.

Bringing new worlds with colour and form

to live was and still remains her greatest joy.

While living in different places,

such as Germany, Italy, England 

and India, she managed to create a 

substantial body of works, all figurative, 

filled with colour and expression.

An intense artistic journey kindled 

by the intrinsic longing to call into existence

an alive image on canvas, that transmits

feelings, energy and most of all an inspiration.

That soulful impulse to live, inquire, play, 

sing and dance but also to face aloneness 

and the ultimate quest of life:
